Privacy Policy & GDPR Compliance

At Hotel TV Company we value our customers’ right to privacy and personal choice. Therefore, to comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we made a number of changes to our privacy policy. This is to ensure our customers are aware and in control of the personal data we store and process.

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection for all individuals within the European Union. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data. It also aims to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.

How we have prepared?

To ensure that we are compliant with the new GDPR regulations, we  increased our efforts towards better security and transparency in our ways of data collection. Some of our initiatives ensure:

How we collect your data?

Business Data is collected from our B2B website (www.hoteltvcompany.co.uk) by our subscription form, by opt-ins on our contact/enquiry form or  third party data dealers. Furthermore, we ensure that all data we pruchase, is GDPR compliant and you have given your explicit consent to the data dealer. In addition, we will not collect personal information about you without your permission. To subscribe, please email us on marketing@hoteltvcompany.co.uk or opt in on our website form.

All existing subscribers, acquired prior to GDPR coming into force, are also given the choice to confirm their subscription or unsubscribe.

How we store your data?

We store and process all data that we use for promotional marketing, within our Zoho CRM database. Some marketing data segments are transferred from Zoho CRM to Mailchimp for the sole purpose of targeted email marketing. We do not pass data onto any third party companies with the exception of Zoho CRM, where we store your data, Mailchimp, where we undergo our email marketing, and KashFlow, where we process payments. 

How we process your data?

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices. In other words, we make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Furthermore, we have ensured that Zoho CRM and Mailchimp are GDPR Compliant prior to adding any customer data on these platforms (see links below).

Our team will, then, provide you with all the information that we hold of you. You can decide whether you wish this information to be updated or deleted. Likewise, you can opt-out of our promotional database at any time by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom of our promotional emails, sending an e-mail to support@hoteltvcompany.co.uk with your request to unsubscribe or mailing us at:
